Face in the Starry Night

The story behind this painting has to do with the sad love life of the famous artist, Van Gogh. He had many loves but all were unrequited and he lived his life in various mental states from unbalance to madness. I read his biography and was inspired to do a painting in his style but depicting a woman’s face, beautiful but out of reach, yet something he always sought to fulfill his life.

This original painting is 18x24” acrylic on 3/4” deep canvas. It’s been given two coats of varnish. The sides are finished in solid black so it can be hung as is but I recommend a frame that would really show it off to it’s full visual potential.

If you prefer to purchase a print from Fine Art America, you can order it with your choice of frames from their available selections or order just the print and have it framed locally, which will cost less to ship. Or contact me if you are in the US and my printer in Florida can make the print for you. Prints can be smaller or larger.

The photo is a mock up, not true to size, and frame is not included.
